The View at The Palm Jumeirah is a 240-meter-high observation deck located on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower. It offers visitors panoramic, 360-degree views of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, Dubai’s skyline, the Arabian Gulf, and famous landmarks like the Atlantis and Burj Al Arab. The experience includes an interactive exhibit on the ground floor that showcases the history and development of Palm Jumeirah. What are the best rides at Motiongate Dubai?

Top attractions include: Capitol Bullet Train (The Hunger Games), Madagascar Mad Pursuit, Dragon Gliders (How to Train Your Dragon), Zombieland Blast-Off, Ghostbusters: Battle for New York. These rides are highly recommended for thrill-seekers and families.

Which is better, IMG or Motiongate?

It depends on what you’re looking for. IMG is completely indoors and perfect for Dubai’s hot climate, offering superhero and cartoon-themed zones. Motiongate, on the other hand, is based on Hollywood movies like Shrek, The Hunger Games, and Madagascar, and includes both indoor and outdoor rides. If you prefer a climate-controlled experience with Marvel and dinosaurs, go for IMG. If you enjoy movie-based attractions and don’t mind some outdoor walking, Motiongate is a fun alternative.

It was good expecially the capital bullet train and the madagascar mad pursuit and i did not go on blast off and boat ride due to less time as I went from school OOB and want th go in 6th grade (next year) pls tell my school to come here again and give more time. there was a big crowd for the roller coaster to reduce it. The staff were helping alot. The Admission Fee Should we reduced. The Atmosphere was music. I think that this was the best trip ever and I want to go here next Year too. Best for next year too.

Please i suggest to increase the motiongate park timings extend it to at least 10 pm daily so that the people who are having annual pass or normal entry day ticket they can easily come and enjoy because most the people are busy with their jobs so the time behind left is after evening only

As you will read elsewhere, there are always key rides closed. On our visit John Wick, Shrek and Zombieland Blast Off were shut, this is a high percentage of the rides available. Also, when you have very large school groups attending, 250 from a single school on our visit, there is no overseeing of the queues so seeing tens of schoolchildren queue jumping by going under the rails to join their friends and significantly increase your queue time is not good.

I wanted to share some feedback following our recent visit to the park, which overall was a memorable experience for my family. We arrived at opening time expecting long queues, but were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly entry went. We headed straight to the DreamWorks area and were initially disappointed to find all the rides in the Shrek zone closed. However, a helpful staff member directed us to Madagascar, where my daughter was thrilled to be able to enjoy multiple rides without any queues. The indoor, air-conditioned environment of DreamWorks was a real bonus in the heat, and the theming throughout was excellent. Staff across the park were consistently friendly and welcoming. We visited during the Halloween events and appreciated the extended hours, which allowed us to leave for a break and return later in the evening. The halloween parade and live DJ were unexpected highlights that added to the festive atmosphere. There were, however, a couple of areas that impacted our experience and prevented us from giving a full five-star rating: Ride Restrictions: On child-focused rides such as the Smurfs mini coaster, I was asked to remove my glasses. Having visited theme parks globally, I found this excessive especially on rides with moving walkways, where navigating without glasses posed more risk than wearing them on a tame ride. Communication Around Events: Around 4pm, we noticed Halloween setups and saw on the map that candy grab areas were planned. A staff member advised these wouldn’t start until 7:30–8:00pm, so we left for dinner and returned later. Unfortunately, when we still couldn't find the candy grab locations I spoke with another member of staff to be told the candy events had already finished which left my daughter disappointed. Despite these issues, we had a fun day and appreciated many aspects of the park including the short wait times and theming. We would return to the park.

We visited as a family in November 2025. The tickets were excellent value for money. The park is trying to be and looks to be modeled like Disney’s Hollywood Studios but obviously lacks the Disney Magic. Overall we had a brilliant day, plenty to see and do and hardly any wait times for the rides. Unfortunately we had a school trip come on the day we were there and the park was not used to numbers above 1000 so struggled to cope with an increased capacity. On any other day, the staffing levels were probably right. Just from our experience we had kids pushing in line, and ride operators not speaking great Arabic or English to be able to cope with any issues. Would recommend to friends and family if visiting Dubai. A great day out that we all thoroughly enjoyed.

A good park, but it’ll be better if the colleagues are engaging and friendly. They should learn from Zoey 🇿🇼 and Sonica 🇵🇰 they were the only ones who engaged with us on the whole visit in MotionGate.

Visited here for a morning to do 2 parks, absolutely amazing time nicely spaced out and not crowded. Youngest played a round of catch a dragon and won the biggest teddy on first go. It is a great breakdown of street scene and rides

The theme park itself is very nice, clean, well laid out. Food is reasonable. We got lunch for 3 at the Smurf cafe for about £30-35 - that was a bit cheaper than I thought it might be. Burgers, chicken tenders with drinks, etc. The major reason why our day was not as enjoyable as it could have been was that the queue control was non existent. (And Ghostbusters/John Wick rides were shut) Whilst queueing for several rides, it came apparent that queue jumping was completely acceptable. Hardly anyone tried to stop jumpers. Various methods, like sending their young children ahead claiming their parent was ahead, followed 5-10 minutes later by the parent stating their child was up ahead. And then some children just jumping over rails and joining in. Literally no one to stop it, and when you're trapped, not moving for quarter of an hour in the heat, it becomes unbearable to the extend we left the queue on several occasions. Certain ride queues appeared to just be stationary for 10-20 minutes at a time, barely moving at all (I'm looking at you Green Lantern and Capital Bullet Train). Very very frustrating. This basically ruined the day for me. The rides were good, but when you get so fed up you can't be bothered to queue anymore, its a bit of a waste of a day. Halloween decorations, and theme was a nice touch though.
