Customer Reviews
My wife was refused entry as she was wearing relatively long shorts. That said there was the option to buy a wrap for. £6 so not outrageous. We simply failed to acknowledge the culture, our fault but worth knowing as a westerner. Equally worth knowing, take your passport if over 65 years of age as entry is free. It’s the only way you can prove your age. Smooth efficient entry at 4:15 pm with virtually no queue. An hour later and the queue was humongous. Despite the numerous “regions” the reality was that most of the stalls sold similar items. Middle Eastern fragrances, pashmina’s in the European area? Fab for young families with the main stage very much catering for 3-12 year olds. The amusement park area looked really good but we were perhaps a little old. Very efficient taxi queue on exit. Approx £16 back to Al Habtor City area As it was UAE day the place was simply rammed so we left at 6:15 pm
Overall a good visit one evening. The place is huge and loads of food and retail shops from around the world. Would recommend although. Food a little costly. Good atmosphere
We went with our adult children. Quite a bit of back and forths before getting in. I bought the tix online and had to upgrade them. Turns out Friday isn’t a week day. Upgraded but then the tic wouldn’t work, had to go back to the ticket counter and it still wouldn’t work. Was ready to leave but then they finally let us through. So happy they did! Beautiful lights, buildings, shopping! Great shows! Food is very expensive!
Very good cleaning, hotel is very nice as well, I enjoyed my experience at the gym and pool, breakfast was very filling, impressive house keeping especially Mr Soumen
Global Village is one of Dubai’s most vibrant and exciting attractions—a place where culture, entertainment, food, and shopping all come together in one lively outdoor park. Visiting feels like taking a mini world tour in just a few hours Various options for Food, Shopping, Street markets, and activities.
This a lively, vibrant evening food and shopping destination, with a range of shows throughout the evening on the main stage. HOWEVER, if you are expecting an Epcot style world showcase experience, you will be disappointed. The facades representing the different countries are interesting, but behind each one is basically the same food and drink and souk/bazaar style stalls where you get hassled by the vendors. There is no information or films about the countries at all. It is fine for what it is, but it wasn’t at all what we expected. The parade and “light show” were laughably pathetic; and whilst it is inexpensive to go in, you have to pay for the few rides and the Stunt Show. PLEASE NOTE THAT STRICTER DRESS CODES ARE ENFORCED HERE. MEN AND WOMEN MUST HAVE SHOULDERS, MIDRIFF AND KNEES COVERED.
Epcot for the Middle East! It was so fun to visit so many Middle Eastern countries and a few others too. Great food and products. So much bigger than I would have ever expected!
